How To Draw Pictures Step By Step

Many RFA readers have requested me to write a tutorial on how to draw faces, so here it is!

To brand it like shooting fish in a barrel to digest, I split the tutorial up into iii parts: How to describe a face up from the front, side and iii/4 view. This is office ane of 3. I came upwardly with the original methods in these 3 tutorials by measuring over a dozen adult faces, so each tutorial carries over the aforementioned measuring techniques. Note: Think to employ a blunt HB pencil for these steps. I used a 4B so you lot tin clearly meet what I'm doing. Remember, the darker you go and the harder you press, the more hard it volition exist to erase your under-layers/guidelines.

Learn How to Draw a Realistic Face

Step 1: Showtime with a circumvolve

Draw a large circle and make a horizontal line below it for the mentum. And then sketch the jawline. Depict a vertical line down the middle of the face and make sure both sides of the face are symmetrical.

Step 2: Draw guidelines on the face

There are two means to do this stride: Ruler or no ruler. I highly recommend using the ruler method for the first couple of faces you draw. Why? Because doing this step without it tin throw your proportions off like crazy. Especially if you have problem locating the 'center' of an object with your eyes. The no ruler method requires y'all to dissever multiple sections of the face up in half and then in half once again.

Ruler Method: Make a ruler abreast your drawing that is the aforementioned pinnacle. The ruler should exist marked so in that location are eight equal spaces. Always get-go with the center line.
Depict faint lines through the face on the markings labelled CENTER LINE, ii, 3, A, and C. As yous get used to this, you won't need to draw the ruler on the side.

Step 3: Draw eyes in the correct spot

Step 4: Draw a proportionate nose

Extend the two lines where the inner corners of each center are located. These guidelines will determine the nose'south width. Now that we have a box, it's time to describe the nose.

Start with a circle, resting it anywhere between line 1 and 2. You lot can give your male grapheme a more than chiseled appearance by cartoon the olfactory organ using very angular shapes.

Step 5: Add the eyebrows

Step six: Use a triangle shape to draw lips

If you drew the nose well in a higher place line 2, extend the triangle so the tip touches the nose.

Pace 8: Depict the hair
